Netherlands slavery | Dutch PM Rutte apologises for Netherlands' historic role in slave trade

Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte went ahead with the apology even though some activist groups in the Netherlands urged him to wait until July 2023, the anniversary of the abolition of slavery 160 years ago.
